Biography

Lilith Spivack is a dynamic soprano, praised for her “marvelous bel canto voice” (Big Island Music) and floating high notes. Raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, she is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music and now makes her home in Berlin.

This season, Ms. Spivack will join Festival Opera for their production of La traviata, covering the iconic role of Violetta. She has been a featured artist in Bach-Millennium Music’s summer concert series each year since 2022, where she has performed scenes from Thomas’ Hamlet (Ophélie), Die Fledermaus (Rosalinde), Lucia di Lammermoor (Lucia), and Les mamelles de Tirésias (Thérèse/Tirésias).

Ms. Spivack delights in portraying dynamic heroines. She debuted as a fiery Die Königin der Nacht in Trentino Music Festival’s Die Zauberflöte in 2023—a role that has since become a signature. Other favorite roles include Adina in L’elisir d’amore (San Francisco Opera Guild 2023), Taumännchen/Sandmännchen/Gretel (cover) in Hänsel und Gretel (Vienna Opera Academy 2023) and Eurydice in Orpheus in the Underworld (Hawaii Performing Arts Festival 2022). She excels as a collaborative musician, and has enjoyed ensemble performances with Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra & Chorale, Verismo Opera, Festival Opera, and Pocket Opera.

Additionally, Ms. Spivack is a passionate teaching artist. With over five years’ experience teaching all ages and subjects, she strives to give learners a safe and caring environment where they can hone their skills. Ms. Spivack is a credentialed teacher of English as a foreign language, and uses her musical background to enrich all her lessons. She also specializes in vocal lessons for children and teens, helping students discover their voices through healthy singing technique.
